TALS-2 Key Features
- TALS-2 enables the remote monitoring of a set torque being applied to a fastner, without the need for cables.
- TALS-2 can be used in conjunction with a production line control system.
- TALS-2 is compatible with the following Torqueleader tools, TSP, TSN, TBNE, TBNS range of torque wrenches.
- All transceiver units are IP64 (ingress protection) rated, giving TALS-2 extra protection, which allows it to be used in a variety of working environments.
- Communications 'handshake' ensures the signal has been succesfully acted upon giving the user peace of mind that the operation is complete.
- 3 transceiver based LEDs display tool operation status, allowing the user an initial diagnostic indication.
The Torque Activated Logging System (TALS-2) and the Electrical Switch Tool options are designed for computer controlled production areas where an action is confirmed once the pre-set torque has been achieved, and a signal is received by the production line control system. Electrical Switch tools are connected by a cable whereas TALS-2 tools use an RF Transceiver to communicate. TSP, TSN and TBN production wrenches are all available with the Electrical Switch and TALS capabilities.

Switch Option Key Features
- This system provides automated monitoring of the Torque application process, and is especially useful in a computerised production area, where it can be used to control work flow.
- TSP, TSN, TBNE and TBNS tools are all available with an Electrical Switch option, allowing an external device to count the number of times the pre-set torque has been applied.
- The tool is connected by a cable to the monitoring station, and can be interfaced with computers and gate switches etc.
