Torqueleader Supports SURTES Racing

In partnership with the University of Surrey, Torqueleader are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the International Formula Student Competition. Raising the profile of engineering and the importance of attracting new blood into this sector, the program focuses young engineers on the skills required for modern manufacturing.

This is an annual, international competition to design and build a low cost, single seat, racing car.  The competition, originating in the USA, has since migrated to Australia, the UK and recently Italy and Brazil.  Altogether, there are over 200 international teams, which attract local, national and international sponsors.

The final car is not the only deciding factor in this program, students and progress are marked on each proceeding stage including; the design, marketing and costing of their vehicles.

Torqueleader have donated TCR 25D and TCR 100 torque wrenches along with an ADS 40 Dial Measuring Wrench to assist with the build of the racing car.
