Torqueleader Un-veil New Products

MHH Engineering manufacturers of the Torqueleader range of Torque control equipment have just un-veiled 3 new and exciting products to add to their range. The STB Torque Wrench, the QTC Torque Analyser and the TALS-2 Torque Activated Logging System.

STB - TORQUE WRENCH

The STB is a robust torque wrench that has been designed utilising Torqueleader’s unique “slipping” technology.

  • The tool slips 110° before automatically resetting inline, reducing the possibility of over tightening.
  • Compatible with 16mm spigot interchangeable wrench attachments, making for a versatile tool suitable for most applications.
  • When used with open end fittings, ideally suited for use in hydraulic and pipe work applications.
  • Meets the +/- 4% repeatability requirements of ISO 6789:2003.

The STB 35 has a torque range of 7 - 35 N.m.  The STB 70 will be available later in 2007. (20 - 70 N.m)

TALS-  2 – TORQUE ACTIVATED LOGGING SYSTEM

Torqueleader are pleased to announce the launch of TALS-2, the next generation of Torque Activated Logging System (TALS).

TALS-2 gives the user the confidence that a torque wrench operation has been electronically logged and that quality can be controlled by ensuring all critical fasteners are tightened to the required torque.

  •  Communications ‘Handshake’ ensures the signal has been successfully acted upon giving the user peace of mind that the operation is complete
  • Long battery life, extending  the battery change period which reduces tool downtime
  • Compatible with Torqueleader Torque Tools fitted with RF Transceivers
  • All transceiver units are IP64 (ingress protection) rated, giving TALS-2 extra protection, which allows it to be used in a variety of working environments
  • 3 LED’s  display tool operation status, allowing the User an initial diagnostic indication

QTC ELECTRONIC TORQUE ANALYSER

Rugged and reliable, the QTC is designed to test torque tools quickly and accurately (+/-1% of reading) ensuring minimal tool down time, hence maximising tool utilisation. The ergonomic design includes an angled display, which makes for easy reading of the achieved torque value.

The QTC’s wide torque range (9-320 N.m.) and interchangeable 3/8” and ½” drives makes for a versatile analyser, all of which allows the testing of a broad selection of torque wrenches, producing a cost effective calibration solution.
